Colleen E. Jay
Chair of the Board
Ms. Jay is a distinguished global Fortune 50 leader with nearly 35 years of experience running multinational, multibillion-dollar businesses, bringing deep expertise in innovation, brand building, organizational leadership, strategic alternatives, and transformational growth. As Chair, she adds extensive board and committee leadership and a strong understanding of CooperCompanies’ business, backed by a proven executive track record of driving strategy, operational excellence, and sustained value creation.
Ms. Jay served as a Global Division President for Procter and Gamble (P&G) (NYSE: PG) until her retirement in October 2017, after 32 years with the multi-national consumer goods company leading large global ($8-$15 billion) businesses and organizations. Her most recent operational role was President of the Global Beauty Specialty Business, where beginning in 2015 she led the Wella Professional Salon, Cosmetics, Retail Hair Color, and Fragrance businesses and oversaw their successful divestiture—one of P&G’s largest and most complex M&A transactions. From 2012 to 2015, she led P&G’s multi-billion-dollar Global Retail Hair Care and Color division, including the billion-dollar Pantene and Head & Shoulders brands, and from 2010 to 2012 she served as President of the Global Female Beauty division. She also served as VP & General Manager, Greater China from 2006 to 2009, where she was responsible for businesses with a combined value of over $1 billion. She worked in various positions with P&G since 1985 and has resided in/led operational units in the United States, Canada, China, and Europe. Her leadership has been widely recognized, including through honors such as Advertising Age’s “Women to Watch” and the Ohio Diversity Council’s “Most Powerful and Influential Women”.
Ms. Jay serves on the board of Treasury Wine Estates (ASX: TWE), a publicly traded company making and selling wine for the global market. She also serves on the board of Beyond Meat, Inc. (NASDAQ: BYND) and is Chair of the Human Capital and Compensation Committee and a member of the Risk Committee.
Ms. Jay holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, graduating with high distinction.
